GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Responsible for verifying, processing, and packaging student financial aid which will include federal, state, institutional, and private funds while keeping up to date of changing federal, state, and institutional regulations. This position conducts financial aid outreach to current and prospective students to determine if their financial situation has changed. The individual in this position will also facilitate student workshops, provide students and parents with advice on financial aid options, and will assist in training.
Some light travel is required. Must have the ability to work overtime during peak processing times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct outreach to financial aid applicants about the opportunity to receive a financial aid adjustment due to a recent change in the financial situation of a family member or independent student, or other circumstances.
2. Serve as backup for processing scholarships (determining initial and renewal eligibility, adding to aid package, disbursing, reconciling, etc.)
3. Compile Federal and State reports.
4. Conduct Financial Aid Informational events to area high schools, campus groups, etc.
5. Review needs analysis statements and determine financial need.
6. Review all financial aid packages for accuracy and completeness and package aid according to eligibility and regulations.
7. Assist in reviewing students' continuing aid eligibility at the end of each term.
8. Package and send out financial aid information as needed.
9. Attend workshops to keep up to date on new regulations.
10. Work with the Business Office for disbursement, recording, and awarding of Financial Aid.
11. Monitor student enrollment to verify aid eligibility requirements.
12. Travel to other ASU-Beebe campus sites as needed.
