Job Summary
This role creates and supports internal SharePoint sites and creates business efficiencies by designing and implementing business process workflow automations. You will leverage tools in the Microsoft suite (SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure, and potentially other systems, to digitalize, empower, and create efficiencies for end users. You will work with members of the business, leadership, IT Technical, and IT Application teams to correlate and analyze requirements to prepare and present solution proposals which you will develop and implement in alignment with SDLC, Regulatory, and Data Privacy/Governance requirements.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Environment management:
Provision and manage SharePoint environments and their integrations where applicable.
Configure SharePoint sites and libraries to support business solutions.
Ensure proper governance and compliance measures are implemented across Power Platform and SharePoint environments.
User and Access Management:
Manage user access and permissions within the Power Platform and SharePoint.
Define Roles and security groups to control access to resources.
Monitor user activity and enforce compliance with organizational policies across both platforms.
Solution Deployment:
Facilitate the deployment and integration of Power Platform solutions.
Coordinate with developers and business users to promote solutions across different environments.
Ensure proper version control and documentation for deployed solutions that involve SharePoint.
Governance and Compliance:
Establish governance policies and best practices for both Power Platform and SharePoint.
Enforce compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards across both platforms.
Monitor usage and performance metrics to identify potential compliance issues.
Training and support:
Provide training and support to users and developers for both Power Platform and SharePoint.
Develop documentation, tutorials, and best practice guidelines covering both platforms.
Address user inquiries and troubleshoot technical issues across both platforms.
Life Cycle Management:
Mange the lifecycle of solutions deployed on both Power Platform and SharePoint
Plan and execute updates, patches, and retirements on both platforms.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for platform migrations and upgrades.
Cost Management:
Monitor usage and resources consumption to optimize costs for both Power Platform and SharePoint.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across both platforms.
Forecast future resource needs and budget accordingly for both platforms.
Community Engagement:
Participate in user communities and forums covering both Power Platform and SharePoint.
Nurture and enable the user community by sharing knowledge, best practices, tips, etc.
Stay inform about industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to both platforms.
Qualifications
Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or computer engineering, or other related area and minimum 3 years IT experience, with an emphasis in SharePoint, Power BI/Automate/Flow and process automation.; or associate degree or technical diploma/degree or equivalent years of related work experience
Experience with SharePoint Framework development
Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Office 365 suite, developing & implementing solutions in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI
Experience with Microsoft Fabric & Azure (nice to have)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient skills in SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Teams, Power BI).
Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Strong people skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
