Tally pipe lengths for outbound loads and product verification of inbound loads. Assist forklift operator in loading and unloading pipe from production lines, storage racks, and trucks. Duties may also include pipe storage rack construction/repair and road maintenance.Learn to drive industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices. This position operates large capacity forklifts to move oilfield tubular to and from the plant’s production lines and maintain records of the products moved. This position also operates lower capacity forklifts for material movement in the warehouse. Ship and receive items. Perform cycle counts and participate in inventory put-away and sustainment of inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in properly racking and storing tubular products per API requirements
Assist in keeping product positioned on storage racks to prevent delays in forklift loading and unloading
Accurately and completely fill out inventory documentation
Understand and maintain traceability of finished goods
Understand and verify pipe stencils during tallying process
Understand components required per order and how to stage components for orders
Maintain concise and accurate records of products moved or issued to orders
Perform daily checks (maintenance) of equipment
Lubricates heavy equipment, recharges batteries, fills fuel tanks
Perform physical verification of product moved by completing tubular movement documents or via computer software
Ensure proper handling / storage of product as required by customer and API specifications
Maintain a neat and orderly pipe yard and warehouse work area
Maintain correct inventory in pipe yard and warehouse
Learn to safely operate heavy equipment
Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device
Inventory materials in pipe yard and warehouse, and supply production lines with materials as needed
Be proficient in handling requirements for special grades of pipe
Must become knowledgeable of VAM USA Shipping and Receiving Procedures

Experience, Skills, and knowledge:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Preferred: One year on the job training in an oilfield tubular yard or warehouse
Preferred: Forklift Training (Large and/or lower capacity)
Preferred: Familiarity with API storage/handling requirements
Preferred: Know and understand 5S
