Certified Surgical Technologist, First Shift, Surgery Department
UC Health is hiring a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist for the surgery department for the first shift at UC Holmes. We're offering a $25,000 sign-on bonus!
The Surgery Department Surgical Technologist will support the UC Holmes's operating room (OR) and Greater Cincinnati's only Level I Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs. The major focus is on the scrub role but may also include an assistant circulator role under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The certified surgical technologist needs to demonstrate knowledge and expertise in a variety of surgical specialties and the initiative to continually expand and refine clinical skills. It is also someone who identifies and responds appropriately to different needs resulting from, unique psychological needs or those associated with religious / cultural norms. Performs treatments, administers medication, or operates equipment safely.Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or GED minimum required. Associate degree in surgical technology, preferred degree
Years of Experience: 6 months- 2 years of active experience
Required Certifications: Must be certified by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) and maintain that certification.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Computer literacy; demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
