The University of Iowa Pomerantz Career Center is looking to hire a 100% full-time Director of Community & Employer Engagement. This position will oversee and support all Community and Employer Engagement services and initiatives for the Pomerantz Career Center.

Direct, oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Community and Employer Engagement goals for the Pomerantz Career Center including support of the on-campus interviews, mock interviews, career fairs, events, and online resources.
Oversee and authorize the development of new programming and resources (including budgeting) as driven by the needs of the ever-evolving student populations that utilize the career center and changing student needs related to campus recruitment.
Manage employer services and outreach with the Employer Team which includes partnerships with corporate recruiters, local and regional employers, campus partners and more!
Supervise the Community & Employer Engagement team and serve on the Leadership Team within the office.

WHAT YOU BRING:
Education and Experience Required
Master's degree in Student Development, Counseling, Higher Education, Human Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience providing a comparable level of expertise.
Significant (3-5 years) experience in business or program development, outreach, training, employer relations or related role and/or experience in talent acquisition (preferably campus or corporate recruiting).
Experience supervising and leading mid-sized teams.
Experience developing and maintaining strategic relationships with internal and external constituents.
Competencies Required
Demonstrates an expert proficiency in each of the following areas:
Ability to establish and build positive working relationships with campus partners, colleagues, and external constituents from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and manage departmental-wide projects.
Understanding and application of business development practices.
Demonstrated knowledge and use of technology platforms and/or data analysis to support work productivity.
Knowledge of and ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.
Other Required Qualifications
Must be available to travel within IA and outside of IA for events (up to 20% time). Some overnight travel, evening, and weekend work required.
The ability to move boxes and materials up to 40 lbs.
A valid driver's license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy requirements. Position will require occasional driving in large metro areas and providing transportation for students.
Desired Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, business or program development, outreach, training, employer relations or related role is highly desired.
Prior experience working in a large and complex organization, particularly with a combination of central and decentralized models.

This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location. Work arrangement options will be discussed during the hiring process and are subject to change for training, programming, peak periods, and performance.
