POSITION SUMMARY:
DuBois Chemicals is looking for a high performing Service Technician to support one of our strategic customers at their site. Responsible for physically carrying out the material handling requirements associated with a fluid management program at an industrial manufacturer (our customer). Successful candidates will be expected to work well within a team and ensure all requested fluid pump-outs, additions and mechanical checks are routinely performed and reported. At all times the Service Technician must follow the safety regulations of the customer and DuBois. Demonstrate the company's core competencies of communication, customer focus, innovation, integrity & ethics, lean & safety, and passion to succeed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure required fluid performance measurements are performed and recorded.
Draw fluid system samples and perform chemistry tests.
Physically make material additions.
Interact daily with operators and appropriate management personnel.
Support the collection of data for fluid consumption, performance documentation, and reporting.
Notify Account Manager and customer of abnormal fluid conditions and mechanical problems.
Support special projects.
Perform procedures for fluid additions and system cleanouts.
Ensure system control plans are followed.
Adhere to sump pump-out schedule.
Review and maximize the performance of recycling efforts.
Support continuous improvement projects.
Ensure mechanical aspects of fluid systems are operating efficiently.
Must be able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodations.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
1+ years of related service experience/training in fluid systems and chemical industry preferred.
Proficient in performing technical/mechanical on-site testing.
Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and write routine reports/correspondences.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organizations.
Strong time management skills and attention to detail
Ability to trouble shoot and solve practical problems.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand basic chemical concepts.
Ability to work in an industrial environment.
Ability to handle moderate to considerable physical activity.
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
