Job Description:

Duties: Perform review of South Florida regional water management infrastructure to determine the Flood Protection Level of Service provided under current and future conditions in different watersheds of South Florida. Provide engineering support for hydraulic, hydrologic analysis and modeling. Perform rainfall frequency analysis and flood control strategies and data analysis. Assist project managers to update the Flood Protection Level of Service progress report on a Quarterly basis. Telecommuting may be permissible up to 2 days a week subject to approval. No travel required. No Hire / Fire Authority.


Requirements: Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline plus at least three years of related experience. As an alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus at least four years of related experience. Related experience must include Watershed-Scale Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling, Flood Mitigation Strategies, GIS Mapping, Data Analysis and Water Quality Modeling. Experience required with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE, ArcGIS, MATLab, JMP and Python.
