Job Description:

The role is directly reporting into the global IT Program Management Office (PMO) and will service the Clarios organization regarding Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategy, planning & execution for Digital & Business Transformational initiatives.  Willingness to travel internationally to support job responsibilities as required. (Approx. 10%)

What you will do

The role is working closely together with IT Leadership, Business Exec Leadership as well as Program/Project Managers and Business Relationship Management (BRM) Directors.

As a Director of OCM, this position will play a pivotal role in driving successful digital and business transformations within our organization. This role will lead change initiatives, ensuring that our employees embrace new technologies, processes, and organizational structures. This role’s expertise in change management will be critical to achieving our strategic goals and maintaining a competitive edge in the digital era.

The position requires a leader who leads by example, is competent, confident, perseverant, inspirational, influencing, disciplined and dependable.  In addition, this individual needs to be collaborative, a very good  communicator as well as a collaborative partner with Business Relationship Management skills as well as  Change Management skills.

The ability to enforce standards, compliance and governance is strongly required.   

The position requires the ability to think and communicate in business terms, understand business strategy and process, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities in change adoption of processes and/or tools as well as identifying communication and training requirements and appropriately responding to it. It requires the ability to quickly mediate between competing priorities, and work effectively with IT Leadership as well as Business Leadership up to Director/VP level, both within and across reporting relationships, business departments and geographic regions.

Finally, in case of direct reports, this manager role is responsible for the management, development and engagement of its people, including the hiring of staff, their instruction, coaching and evaluation.

How you will do it

Change Strategy Development:


  • Develop comprehensive change strategies and plans aligned with digital transformation objectives.

  • Conduct stakeholder assessments to identify key influencers and potential resistance points.

  • Create communication plans to engage employees at all levels.

  • Ensure leadership alignment and commitment to change initiatives.

Develop Enterprise Organizational Effectiveness Methodologies:


  • Work alongside Transformational initiative sponsors and Leaders to create methodologies and toolkits for institutional effectiveness, assessment, organizational design, leadership team effectiveness, span of control, and change adoption specific to higher education institutions.

  • Assist in developing training content and consulting offerings to empower university HR leadership, finance, and operational teams to effectively implement or leverage these enterprise methodologies.

Training and Capability Transfer:


  • Design and implement training programs to equip employees with the necessary skills for digital adoption.

  • Facilitate capability transfer by providing resources, tools, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create targeted training content.

Change Readiness Assessment:


  • Assess the organization’s readiness for change by evaluating cultural norms, employee attitudes, and existing processes.

  • Identify areas where additional support or interventions are needed.

  • Develop tailored change readiness plans.

End-User Support and Adoption:


  • Champion end-user adoption of new technologies and processes.

  • Provide ongoing support through training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching.

  • Address user concerns and ensure a smooth transition.

Project Execution Oversight:


  • Oversee the execution of change initiatives according to project plans.

  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.

Resource Planning and Acquisition:


  • Work closely with HR and project managers to allocate resources effectively.

  • Identify skill gaps and recommend hiring or upskilling as necessary.

  • Manage external consultants or contractors as needed.

What we look for

Required


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in change management, with a focus on digital transformation.

Preferred


  • Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is a plus.

  • Experience using structured project management methodologies with agile SDLC methods.

  • Multi-lingual capabilities preferred
