3M's Global IT Organization has an exciting new opportunity for an IT Data Migration Specialist-SAP Systems
Job Summary:
Be responsible for population of data to Target Systems such as SAP.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for connectivity from BackOffice Associates Applications to SAP or other target systems
- Responsible for migration of data from BackOffice Associates data staging warehouse to SAP or other target systems.
- Work closely with ERP deployment team and functional data specialists to understand the location of data
- Be hands-on in data migration activities throughout all phases of the migration effort.
- Maintain optimal performance assurance and timely technical issue resolution for the data migration environment
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 5+ years experience with database applications
- 3+ years experience with SAP data load methods LSMW and BDC
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years SAP experience
- Previous data migration experience
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and methodology
- Ability to work collaboratively across cultures, languages and timezones
- Willing to teach the rest of the team the data migration processes
- Ability to translate data into useful business information, clearly document all processes developed, and create simple yet thorough audit processes
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005
- Microsoft windows 2003 File Storage and Security
