GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The User Interface Developer will specialize in straddling the line between Web Designer and Programmer by relying on both the ability to interpret interface design and the ability to write and understand pragmatic code in order to build the working front-ends to high-impact websites and web-based applications. The ideal User Interface Developer is energetic and easy-going with a great work ethic and the personality for a diverse, customer service oriented, casual work environment.  The candidate should love meeting daily development challenges with enthusiasm while also researching and proposing new technologies in their field and interacting with their peers.
 
This position requires:

  • 1-3 years of experience developing standards-based websites using valid, semantic markup for structure and CSS for layout

  • Thorough knowledge of current development trends and popular styling and scripting techniques

  • Ability to be extremely detail-oriented with strong commitment to cross-browser and cross-platform testing, troubleshooting and quality assurance

  • Advanced knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and Javascript - jQuery knowledge preferred

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of PHP (or similar programming language) and MySQL (or similar database query language)

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent;


 


EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years related experience; Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
