3M Purification Inc is currently seeking a Senior Product Technician to provide technical assistance to engineers by performing routine or complex laboratory tasks and to evaluate and perform statistical analysis of product and process research. This position will be located in Meriden, CT.
 
3M Purification Inc is a leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of a comprehensive line of filtration and purification products for liquids and gasses. Its proprietary products are used in the healthcare, industrial, and drinking water markets. 3M Purification Inc operates manufacturing facilities on five continents and has sales offices throughout the world.
 
Additional responsibilities of this position include:

• Assist in the construction of prototype products in either the laboratory or the manufacturing environment.


• Conduct laboratory research experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products.


• Develop or modify  test methods or apparatuses for the evaluation of new products and processes.


• Analyzing, interpreting, and documenting  experimental results in technical notebooks. Record observations on product samples. or


• Communicating test results and generate conclusions in formal accurate technical reports.


• Assisting and training new personnel on basic principles and procedures in laboratories.


• Assisting in assuring availability of raw materials by maintaining and ordering needed supplies and equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate's degree


• Minimum of 3 years working in a laboratory environment in either an academic or industry setting

• Bachelor's Degree


• Experience conducting and documenting laboratory experiments


• Strong statistical aptitude


• Experience testing new materials and products in a laboratory environment


• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
