Web Design Contributor:

Responsibilities will include:
  • Creation of internal/external company web pages including graphics, animation, and functionality. This will be in a fast paced production environment working with onsite promotions. Desired candidates will possess both graphic design and coding skills.

  • Design web application layouts and on-line content, user interface graphics, icons, color schemes, content, and infrastructure for new product release and new web-hosted product offering.  

  • Supports design/branding direction of the company in all projects.  Supports design consistency across the Travelocity application.

  • Interact with the other Customer Experience team members in Information Architecture, Design, UI Tech and Production, as well as leadership team and Creative VP, programmers and business teams to provide collaboration and smooth project delivery.  Supports innovative processes to continually improve productivity and efficiencies.

  • Supports local internal customers in maximizing the effectiveness of merchandising efforts.

  • Utilizes key design principles and industry standards to ensure clear navigation, GUI, content design and ease of use for target audience; solicits feedback from end users to make modifications. Understands visual design principles including color theory, typography, layout, user interface elements and production techniques.

EDUCATION: Bachelor degree or equivalent.
 
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years related experience.
Extensive experience in web page design, HTML, CSS, web graphics types and standards. SEO and Accessibility experience a plus.
Advanced computer software skills. Flash and ActionScript skills a plus.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
