Location: CT - East Hartford - Meadow St
Responsibilities
Slow motion testing of meters.
Spray painting of meters.
Hydro test meters and pressure test meters.
Make minor repairs on meters.
Replace tops of meters.
Remove tops and repack stuffing boxes, replace necessary parts and otherwise prepare meters for readjustment.
Does custodial work necessary to keep Meter Shop in orderly condition.
Removes meters from stock and places on loading platform.
Does other related work of miscellaneous nature that may be assigned.
Skills and Requirements
Must be able to read, write and speak English effectively.
Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Must have the ability to do work of a mechanical nature.
Must have a MVD license and a good driving record.
Must be physically able to perform the duties required.
THIS IS A DOT SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION. ANY APPLICANT TRANSFERRING INTO THIS DEPARTMENT FROM A NON-SAFETY POSITION WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN.
