We are looking for an experienced Geospatial Programmer to join our team! At Elder Research, you will find great opportunities to hone your analytic skills, work on complex problems with amazing teammates, and gain valuable analytics consulting experience.

Summary of Position:

As a Geospatial Programmer, you will support the further development of an existing big data analytic project. You will develop custom code, scripts, modules, macro procedures, libraries, and dynamically linked libraries for geospatial analysis functions using Python Using Python to augment and analyze data. You will educate and advise the Sponsor on the current state of the art and future direction of geospatial technology and products.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or closely-related IT field
  • An active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • Python
  • Tableau
  • Relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Basic understanding of GIS Concepts
  • Knowledge of standard tools [e.g., the Sponsor's various computing networks, Microsoft

    Office Products], as appropriate; and a demonstrated ability to learn to use and support other tools that may be added or developed as the program evolves.
