Software Tester Sr

Job Description:

Hybrid Work Schedule: 3 days a week in an office in Mundelein, IL (Typically Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and/or when needed.

As an SDET at Medline Industries LP, you will play a crucial role in our software development lifecycle by creating and executing test plans, automating test cases, and ensuring the overall quality of our software products. You will work closely with our development teams to identify and address issues, improve testing processes, and maintain a high standard of product quality.

QA Position Responsibilities

• Proficient in analyzing software requirements and device an efficient test strategy and test plan.

• Ability to assess and understand identify defects.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with the scrum team to understand project requirements and timelines.

• Expert in performing various types of testing, including but not limited to backend data validation, smoke testing, end to end testing, performance/stress testing and regression testing.

• Experience in developing risk mitigation strategies as part of overall testing process.

• Experience performing post migration smoke testing.

• Strong documentation skills with the ability to create clear and concise test plans.

• Document and track defects in Jira.

• Ability to effectively communicate issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Strong knowledge of Agile Methodology and SDLC.

• Provide feedback to improve the software testing process and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Job Requirements

• 5 years of experience in designing and executing test cases.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

• Experience writing SQL Queries for data testing.

• Experience working with Jira and Test Management tool Zephyr.

• Understanding of Service-oriented architecture, testing web services using SOAP Or Postman.

• Experience with automation of Open frameworks. like Selenium

• Experience working with test automation tool UFT.

• Experience with running automation suits in parallel on multiple VMs and browsers.

• Experience in analyzing results of automation test runs.

• Ability to quickly become proficient in new tools/technologies.

• Must be a self-motivated and independent thinker.

• A team player who has no difficulty in challenging the team to think differently.
